HIV Diagnosis: Rosalina was unknowingly exposed to HIV through her relationship with a man who had a wife with HIV. She got pregnant in 2008 and gave birth without knowing her own HIV status. In late 2009, during her second pregnancy, she was tested and received a positive diagnosis. Her husband denied any knowledge of the situation and even destroyed her medication. Despite the challenges, she persevered, secretly taking medication to protect herself and her unborn child. Unfortunately, all three of her children were born HIV-positive due to these circumstances.
Life Events:
2008: Pregnant with her first child, she unknowingly contracted HIV from her husband.
Late 2009: Diagnosed with HIV during her second pregnancy; faced denial and opposition from her husband.
Late 2016: Her husband passed away, and she moved to Nhamatanda with her children.
2017: Gave birth to her third child, who was also born HIV-positive.
